A former model who previously used her sexuality to boost her career by posing for such magazines such as Glamour, Vogue, Cosmopolitan, Seventeen, and Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue and current women's activist has chosen Westwood One talk radio host Tom Leykis as her target to promote her website and continue her personal agenda.

   Ann J. Simonton while claiming to defend freedom of speech and lectures to universities about media she deems unacceptable in her own opinion made attempts to contact Westwood One radio and has threatened Earthlink Network® with negative publicity on Monday, January 24th. In her claims she insisted that Tom Leykis told listeners on his December 27th show (which was a rebroadcast from an earlier date) to "Go after abused women".

   Ann J. Simonton's website (www.mediawatch.com) includes slanderous misinformation, incorrect information, edited quotes, and statements taken out of context from both Tom Leykis and callers. She also has included a downloadable form-letter which she urges followers to mass mail to the Earthlink Nerwork's CEO that also includes manipulated and incorrect information.

    Westwood One radio is taking legal action against Ann J. Simonton and Mediawatch.com. There may also be cause for civil action from Tom Leykis  himself for defamation of character. Mediawatch.com has been unsuccessful in other attempts on such products as Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Book of the Month Club, and the Duke Nukem Video game.

    Notes:  Earthlink Network has recently merged with Mindspring to create the 2nd largest internet provider. The Tom Leykis Show has not been issued any citations from the FCC for unlawful content within the last 5 years. Ann J. Simonton had no problem with posing in revealing clothing for Sports Illustrated until she got old and could no longer make a living from it. Now she seems to have a problem with it.
